CR2 is a raw image file format developed by Canon in 2004. This format is used to store unprocessed image data, captured from digital camera sensors. CR2 is based on uncompressed TIFF and is the standard raw format of various Canon EOS digital camera models.
DIB is a raster graphics file format developed by Microsoft in 1987, as Windows 2.0 was being developed. It was designed to store bitmaps in a Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) file, making it easy for Windows to view it on different displays without using graphics adapters.
