DIB is a raster graphics file format developed by Microsoft in 1987, as Windows 2.0 was being developed. It was designed to store bitmaps in a Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) file, making it easy for Windows to view it on different displays without using graphics adapters.
JFIF and JPG both stand for an identical format. JPEG File Interchange Format, abbreviated JFIF, is a digital file format for storing raster graphics. It contains some details that had been left undefined in the JPEG format; like pixel geometry and pixel size.
