Convert JIF to RAD
Convert JIF images to RAD format, edit and optimize images online and free.
The JIF (Joint Photographic Experts Group Interchange Format) is a standard for compressing and encoding digital images. Initially introduced in 1992 by the Joint Photographic Experts Group, JIF became widely adopted due to its efficient lossy compression method, which significantly reduces file size without a substantial loss in image quality. Primarily used for web graphics and digital photography, JIF has influenced the development of other formats like JPEG and its various subtypes, ensuring high compatibility across different platforms and devices.
The RAD file extension, associated with the Radiance software suite, stands for Radiance Scene Description. It is used to describe materials and geometry for lighting simulations and rendering programs. Developed by Greg Ward at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Radiance employs ray tracing and an octree data structure for accurate lighting calculations. RAD files are ASCII text files that must be compiled into an octree before rendering.
Drag and drop your JIF file or click Choose File to proceed.
Finalize the JIF to RAD conversion by applying tools and clicking Convert.
Give the converter a few seconds, then download your RAD file.
Rotate JIF to right (90° clockwise), to left (90° counter-clockwise), 180°, and convert it to RAD.
Flip JIF vertically and/or horizontally (flop), and convert it to RAD.
The Vertopal CLI tool provides efficient conversion from JIF image into RAD image.
cd to the JIF folder or include the path.
