WebP is a new modern raster image format developed by Google in 2010. WebP supports both lossless and lossy compressions, animation, alpha transparency channel which makes it a successor for JPEG, PNG, and GIF with the aim to help make the web faster.
RAS and SR both stand for an identical format. A file with a RAS extension is the Sun Raster image file format developed by Sun Microsystems for their Unix platforms using SunOS operating system. This format supports storing monochrome, grayscale, and color-bitmapped data of any bitmap depth, and lossless data compression using RLE.
