An XLSB file is an Excel workbook that stores data in binary format, allowing for faster reading and writing. It can contain multiple worksheets with cells that hold text, images, charts, and formulas. Excel version 2007 or newer can open and edit XLSB files, while earlier versions require the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack.
An XLT file is a template created in Microsoft Excel containing default formatting and data for a spreadsheet. It is saved in the Excel Binary File Format and can be used to create new XLS files. Microsoft Excel includes pre-created XLT files and allows for custom template creation.
