Canon Raw 3 or CR3 for short, is a digital raw image format for storing unprocessed image data, captured by the camera sensor. CR3 is developed by Canon in 2018 when the Canon EOS M50 camera was released. It uses the new CRX codec instead of TIFF which supports both lossless RAW and lossy C-RAW compressions and is the successor of the CR2 format.
