Convert 123 SPREADSHEET to FODS

The 123 file extension is associated with Lotus 1-2-3, a spreadsheet program developed by Lotus Development Corporation and later acquired by IBM. Introduced in 1983, Lotus 1-2-3 was known for its three main capabilities: spreadsheets, charting, and basic database operations. The 123 format, introduced in 1997, replaced earlier formats like WK4 and was used to store data in rows and columns, supporting various functions and calculations. Although IBM discontinued Lotus 1-2-3 in 2013, the 123 file format remains a legacy format.

The FODS (OpenDocument Flat XML Spreadsheet) file extension, developed by Oracle, is used for storing spreadsheet data in a plain XML format, making it more human-readable and easier to generate automatically without a spreadsheet editor. Unlike the more common ODS format, which uses a ZIP container, FODS files are not supported by Microsoft Excel but can be opened with OpenOffice Calc. This format was introduced as part of the ODF 1.2 specifications by OASIS.
