The PFM which stands for Portable Float-Map is a simple structured raster image format described by Bryan Henderson. It supports both color and grayscale images. The PFM is a part of Netpbm converters, which Netpbm formats were designed to easily exchange binary images between different platforms.
DIB is a raster graphics file format developed by Microsoft in 1987, as Windows 2.0 was being developed. It was designed to store bitmaps in a Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) file, making it easy for Windows to view it on different displays without using graphics adapters.

Rotate PFM to right (90° clockwise), to left (90° counter-clockwise), 180°, and convert it to DIB .
Flip PFM vertically and/or horizontally (flop), and convert it to DIB .
