The PGM which stands for Portable Gray-Map is a simple structured grayscale raster image format designed by Jef Poskanzer in the 1980s. It was designed to easily exchange binary images between different platforms.
JFIF and JPG both stand for an identical format. JPEG File Interchange Format, abbreviated JFIF, is a digital file format for storing raster graphics. It contains some details that had been left undefined in the JPEG format; like pixel geometry and pixel size.
