An XLTM file is a macro-enabled template file created in Microsoft Excel. It is used to build similarly formatted XLSM files and is similar to the XLTX format, except that it can run macros. XLTM files can be opened, edited, and saved in Microsoft Excel version 2007 or newer. Older versions require the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack. Free Excel alternatives that can open XLTM files include WPS Office Spreadsheets, LibreOffice Calc, OpenOffice Calc, and SoftMaker Office's PlanMaker.
