HEIC, abbreviated from High-Efficiency Image Container, is an image file container that uses High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC, ITU-T H.265) for storing multiple images in a single file. HEIC is used natively in Apple iOS and macOS devices and each photo takes up about half the space of an equivalent quality JPEG file.

EPSF, or Encapsulated PostScript Format, is a vector file format developed by Adobe in the late 1980s for professional and high-quality image printing. It retains individual coding on color and size, allowing images to maintain their resolution when scaled.
