Radiance HDR, also known as RGBE or Radiance Picture is a lossless raster image format for high-dynamic-range imaging, invented by Gregory Ward Larson and Randolph Fritz. It was first introduced as part of the Radiance Lighting Simulation and Rendering System in 1989.
JPEG is an image file format developed by Joint Photographic Experts Group in 1992. Because of its lossy compression capability, JPEG is a suitable file standard for photographs and web images which makes it the most used digital image format in the world.
